(And it seem to happen to fair skinned girls with dark hair, too. Popular, and voilà! Brighter hair.) Can be applied on many different subjects. Such a pity. |

You're probably right, dark-skinned characters mysteriously become lighter. I usually try to mimic the color from official art so it's relatively accurate, but I notice even in my own work it varies greatly.
But then I'm also a crappy artist and I can't make features stand out with a dark complexion.
